Whatever you want! There are absolutely no restrictions from our end except the number of characters (13 per line) and the character set you can use:

You know the situation your tag will be in, so what is the most appropriate information for that circumstance? Name? Email? Phone? Address? A mix of them?

We use the centre of the tag (next to the hole) as the origin point for text to be centred to. So if you get a tag with 2 lines, they will be centred above and below this line. Text is always justified to the left, but you can enter spaces if you want to push text across to wherever your design looks best. Each character is always the same size, regardless of how much (or little) text is on your tag.

The tags themselves including casings are 2" (50mm) x 1 1/4" (35mm) approximately.

The luggage cable has a circumference of 4" (100mm), and the pet ID ring has a diameter of 1" (25mm). A separate smaller 22mm ring is also included with pet tags.

All tag plates are made of high quality T304 stainless steel for durability. The cables are also stainless steel, with the coloured plastic housings being made of rigid polypropylene.

Pet ID tag rings are T316 marine grade stainless steel and exceptionally weather resistant.

Text is mechanically stamped into the metal creating a permanent imprint - even after abrasion, scratching or painting etc the undelying text will continue to be visible

Not usually - as these are created by American military workhorse machines originally designed for dogtags, they never needed the full range of symbols. We have added a few like @, # and & but if you try and type something else in the box that we can't do it will prevent you. Similarly, we can't do non-english characters.

Generally, orders received by 2pm will be completed and dispatched that day. We will do our best to acheive this but on occasion at busy times your tag may be posted the day after.

We are very proud of the completely automated system we have in place connecting the website to the machines that output the tags. This means there is minimal scope at our end for mistakes to be made as we produce your tag EXACTLY as you want it. You will have the opportunity to check your text in the cart to ensure it's what you want before you order.
